Franklin (2 Miles) : The Heritage
Foundation of Franklin and Williamson
County is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization
dedicated to protecting and preserving
our historic resources in Franklin and
Williamson County, Tennessee. Among our
programs is the award-winning Main Street
Program, the Downtown Franklin Association,
which promotes and revitalizes the 150
unique places to explore in the 15-block
downtown National Register District.
Cool
Springs Galleria (5 miles) :
Cool Springs Galleria allows visitors
to shop over 165 stores, including Abercrombie
& Fitch, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma,
Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor, then
re-energize at the Oasis Food Court.
Music
Row (15 miles) : Music Row is
an area just to the southwest of Downtown
Nashville, Tennessee that is home to hundreds
of businesses related to the country music,
gospel music, and Contemporary Christian
music industries. Centered around 16th
and 17th Avenues South (called Music Square
East and Music Square West, respectively,
within the Music Row area), along with
several side streets, Music Row is widely
considered the heart of Nashville's entertainment
industry.
Ryman
Auditorium (15 miles) : The Ryman
Auditorium is a 2,362 seat concert hall
in Nashville, Tennessee. The venue was
first opened in 1982 as the Union Gospel
Tabernacle. It was founded by Thomas Ryman,
and after his death in 1904, the venue
was renamed in his honor. The venue spent
three years from 1911 as home to Trevecca
Nazarene University, and then went on
to host the Grand Old Opry from 1943-1974.
In 2001 the Ryman was designated as a
National Historic Landmark. Artists from
Bob Dylan to Wilco have taken to the stage
Saturn
Plant (15 miles) : The Saturn
plant is located near Nashville in Tennessee
away from any civilization. The place
is nice and even placed a little deepened
to keep the landscape.
